NASA Glenn Research Center hosts Ohio Space Forum, leaders discuss future development in Ohio

Forum explores Ohio’s role in space

CLEVELAND — There may not be a launching pad or mission control, but aerospace experts say they can’t get to space without Ohio.

Ohio Space Forum focused on solidifying Ohio's role in the nation's space defense and exploration objectives 
Industry leaders, entrepreneurs, university presidents and students participated in the event at NASA Glenn Research Center. About 60 Ohio companies are contributing to the Artemis mission, which will land the first woman and first person of color on the moon……

Ohio supporting major role in moon shoot, national defense, officials say

CLEVELAND (Tribune News Service) — Ohio companies are playing a major role in supporting the NASA Artemis project, the nation's renewed return to the moon.

"The road to space definitely travels through here for sure," said Pamela Melroy, NASA deputy administrator, adding more than 60 Ohio companies are aiding in the American moon shot……..

 

Dozens of Ohio Companies Boosting New Moonshot, NASA Leader Says

May 20—America won't return to the moon without Ohio know-how and ingenuity, NASA's deputy administrator said at the third annual Ohio Space Forum.

"Ohio is going to the moon with us, this year," Pamela Melroy, NASA deputy administrator, told listeners at the NASA Glenn Research Center near Cleveland May 18. (The gathering was the first time the forum met in person.)……
